FAQ about the EIB/KNX compatible interface

Integrate EIB/KNX sensors and pushbuttons in COMEXIO or extend existing installations with logic functions and visualizations. By the way, you can also use COMEXIO as EIB/KNX IP gateway for programming.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, COMEXIO can send as well as receive telegrams.

The interface was implemented using the latest technology and original hardware components, but not tested by the KNX Association.

This allows you to:

  • Integrate sensors and pushbuttons into COMEXIO
  • Extend existing installations with logic functions, visualizations, remote access, calendar functions and/or additional inputs and outputs
  • EIB/KNX programming via IP

In COMEXIO there are no limits to the number of EIB sensors or actuators.

Via the internal EIB/KNX monitor, you can also read out and further link group addresses in existing installations. Also without ETS.

Yes, COMEXIO is constantly developing the software and adding new features. As always, the updates are available free of charge on our website.

Each taught-in group address corresponds to one data point in COMEXIO OS.

Yes, you can freely use all data points in COMEXIO, be it for programming, monitoring, calendar functions or visualization.

That all telegrams or states required by you are sent to the bus (ETS programming and device type).

That you do not overload the bus unnecessarily, e.g. by a pulse generator.

The creation of very extensive and/or very detailed visualizations or logics may involve limitations or increased programming effort.
