Integrate EIB/KNX sensors and push-buttons into Comexio or add logic functions and visualizations to existing installations. By the way, you can also use Comexio as an EIB/KNX IP gateway for programming.
Can COMEXIO EIB send and receive telegrams?
Yes, COMEXIO can send and receive telegrams.
What is compatible?
The interface was implemented with state-of-the-art technology and original hardware components, but not tested by the KNX Association.
What can I do with it?
You can use it, for example:
Integrating sensors and push-buttons in COMEXIO
Extend existing installations with logic functions, visualizations, remote access, calendar functions and/or additional inputs and outputs.
Programming EIB/KNX via IP
Are there limits?
In COMEXIO there are no limits to the number of EIB sensors or actuators.
Can I also use them in existing installations without ETS programming?
Via the internal EIB/KNX monitor, you can also read out and link group addresses in existing installations. Even without ETS.
Will it be further developed?
Yes, we will continuously develop the software further and provide it with new functions and profiles in our software. As always, updates are available free of charge on our website.
How does this principle work?
Each taught-in group address corresponds to one data point in COMEXIO OS.
Can I freely use the EIB/KNX data points in COMEXIO?
Yes, you can freely use all data points in Comexio, whether for programming, monitoring, calendar functions or visualization.
What do I have to watch out for?
That all telegrams or states required by them are sent to the bus (ETS programming and device type).
Do not overload the bus unnecessarily, e.g. with a pulse generator.
Are there any restrictions?
Creating very extensive and or very detailed visualizations or logics can result in restrictions or increased programming effort.
